Who are you, where are you, and what are you up to? I am a 30 year old craftswoman happily living and working in Vienna. I love creamy pastel colors, soft fabrics, flea markets and vintage stuff, spooky creatures and puppets, old houses, shabby facades and street art. Essentially I am up to screen print, fashion design, illustration, decoration and installation. I run my own fashion label and shop named [amateur] since summer 2007 and I really enjoy being self-employed! How do you describe your personal style? What are your art influences? The trademark of every amateur-product is the special combiation of colors, fabrics, shapes and illustrated prints or patterns. amateur-fashion is a mixture of sporty and smart streetstyles with playful details and function for the daily routine. Some of my favorite artists are Mark Ryden , Gary Baseman or Yoshitomo Nara and I am influenced by travelling, dreaming or listening to music. What's a day in your life? Always different and never boring! Anything exciting that you are looking forward to in the future? Yes! I am working on the first amateur-fashion collection for men and I had like to renew or reorganize the shop for the 4th anniversary this summer. Apart from that I am always looking forward to collaborate with other artists and increase my skills. |
